Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani are Him & Her

Being Human's Russel Tovey and comedian Sarah Solemani star in a new BBC Three anti-romantic comedy.

They play Steve and Becky a young 20-something couple who simply want to drink, eat and have sex – so they do. They don't want to get a job – so they don't.

It might sound boring, but it's actually really funny as we watch their endless days of nothing played out in minute detail, warts-and-all, in real time as they exist together in Steve's bedsit, happy and ambition-free, milking the state.

We caught up with the pair alongside the shows writer Sefan Golaszewski to find out more...

Outnumbered star lands Just William role

Outnumbered star Daniel Roche has lost his curls and donned a 1920s school uniform for his new role in Just William.

The 10-year-old actor, who plays naughty Ben Brockman in the award-winning series, will get even more mischievous as tearaway William Brown in BBC1's new adaptation of the classic Richmal Crompton books.

Rebecca Front, who plays Peep Show's Sophie, and Linda Green's Daniel Ryan will play William's long-suffering parents, while Caroline Quentin and Warren Clarke star as new neighbours the Botts.

Eamonn Holmes calls in lawyers over Jon Culshaw jokes

Eamonn HolmesEamonn Holmes has failed to see the funny side of Jon Culshaw's Impressions Show after the mimic repeatedly joked about his weight.

Holmes, who presents This Morning and Sky News, called in lawyers to ban the BBC comedy show's jibes about his size.

Culshaw used his mock Eamonn character in many of the shows in the last series, along with the catchphrase – "I was fierce hungry, so I was".

Bread's star Aveline dies at 54

Gilly ComanThe actress who played Aveline Boswell in 1980s sitcom Bread has sadly passed away at the age of 54 from a suspected heart attack.

Gilly Coman won a cult following for her role as wannabe model Aveline. She starred in five series of the Liverpool based show and featured in one of Bread's most memorable moments.

Her dramatic red hair, stockings, short skirts and killer heels all added to the fantastic character she played.

Gavin & Stacey will return

Gavin & Stavey will return to our screens for a special, says co-writer Ruth Jones.

When the award-winning sitcom bowed out on New Year's Day after three series, writers James Corden and Ruth vowed that was it, but a one-off episode is being planned, to give viewers the chance to see how life turned out for the lovestruck couple.

Ruth revealed the comeback to fans in Barry, South Wales.

She said: "It looks like there will be a Gavin & Stacey special some time in the future. It will show how things worked out for Gavin and Stacey - and for Nessa and Smithy."

Harry Hill gets a record deal

Harry Hill has just signed a deal with Universal Records.

The high-collared funnyman isn't going to compete with labelmates Lady GaGa or Take That, though - he's sticking to what he does best and releasing a collection of comedy songs.

A source said: "Harry has always featured some daft songs in his act and this is his way to reach a new audience.

"There will be some familiar stuff and entirely new material."

James Corden to sign ITV deal

James Corden is on the brink of becoming one of TV's top-paid stars thanks to ITV, who are offering him a £6million, three-year deal.

Insiders say ITV are keen to lure the Bafta-winner from the BBC by offering him his own primetime chat show and comedy series.

Thanks to the success of his World Cup Live show, which has pulled in triple the viewers expected, the Gavin & Stacey co-writer is no seen as ITV1's golden boy.

Tom Hollander, Olivia Colman and the stars of new BBC Two comedy Rev talk to us

The home of quirky comedy, BBC Two, is bringing us a new church-based show - but rest assured it's no Vicar of Dibley.

Rev, the new six-part comedy, created by James Wood and Tom Hollander, is centres on the enormous daily frustrations and moral conflicts of a vicar newly promoted from a sleepy rural parish to the busy, socially-divided world of an inner-London church.

Played by Tom Hollander (Pirates Of The Caribbean, Pride and Prejudice and In the Loop) the Rev Adam Smallbone has a tough time taking the reins of the East London church of St Saviour's.

Fans donate more than £8,000 for Frank Sidebottom funeral

Fans of cult comedian Chris Sievey - best known for his comic creation Frank Sidebottom - have donated more than £8,000 for his funeral, saving him from a pauper's send-off.

Chris Sievey, the creator of the joker with the papier mâché head, was almost broke when he died on Monday after a short battle with cancer.

When it was revealed his family might not be able to afford a proper goodbye, friends including Jon Ronson, a former member of Frank's Oh Blimey Big Band, took to Twitter and Facebook to ask for pledges.

So far, more than £8,000 has come in.

Frank Sidebottom creator Chris Sievey dies at home

The comedian behind Frank Sidebottom, a legend of alternative comedy, has died.

Chris Sievey, 54, collapsed at his home in Hale, Greater Manchester, on Monday, where he was recovering from an operation to remove a tumour from his chest.

Sidebottom, recognisable from his papier mache head and 'Little Frank' puppet, was originally created in the early-Eighties as a promotional gimmick for his band The Freshies, but took on a life of his own. Throughout the rest of the decade and 1990s, he was a regular on TV and radio, as well as on the live comedy circuit.
